Who We Are
The St. Cloud State Wind Ensemble is the university’s concert band, comprised of 28 the finest wind and percussion musicians on campus. It is a creative arena for future music educators, performers, pre-professionals and music lovers alike to express themselves and support each other in music-making endeavors. Under the direction of Dr. Catharine Bushman, the SCSU Wind Ensemble has been performing on and off campus for students and the wider St. Cloud community since 2014. Previous conductors of the SCSU Wind Ensemble and other bands at SCSU have been Dr. Rik Hansen, Dr. Kenton Frohip, Glen Tuomaala and Bruce Moss.

Personal Message
The SCSU Wind Ensemble is traveling to Washington, DC this April 2025, to perform for the public in two concerts arranged by Musical Celebrations, LLC as part of 2025 NATIONAL FESTIVAL OF THE STATES CONCERT SERIES, commemorating the 250TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNITED STATES ARMY, NAVY, AND MARINE CORPS (1775-2025). One concert will be an indoor evening concert in downtown Washington, DC and the second will be an outdoor performance at one of the national monuments. We need your help to keep the costs affordable for students. Travel costs for a trip like this are challenging, but this trip provides a unique performance opportunity that our student will remember for their entire lives.
Why are donations needed?
Music tours have always required financial support to be possible for students. We are raising money to keep the student costs as low as possible to ensure that all members of the Wind Ensemble who want to go and perform in our Nation's Capitol will have that opportunity and not have a financial barrier put in front of them.
