Description

The Run/Walk for Recovery usually occurs on the Beaver Island Trail. This year, that trail is under construction and is not allowing events to take place. Because of this, we’ve needed to put the 2022 run on hold until April 2023. Instead of an in-person run, this year we are “Raising for Recovery”. From May 2 - May 16 we are asking people who have, or would have participated in the Run/Walk for Recovery to make a monetary donation that will help us to continue to offer free support services to these underserved and at-risk students.

Donations are applied to...

Donations are applied to Resource Center needs. Some of these needs are: books and recovery resources, funds for monthly recovery celebrations & community recovery-related events, student scholarships, and more. Every dollar helps us to continue to provide a safe and welcoming environment where students in recovery can thrive academically and socially.

Personal Message

We invite you to consider this meaningful opportunity by contributing to Raising for Recovery this year in place of your race registration. We are making college dreams achievable for students in recovery!

Why are donations necessary?

The money raised from this annual event goes towards supporting the St. Cloud State Recovery Resource Center, which provides recovery support, services, and scholarships to students in active recovery who are pursuing a college degree. Our program offers a drop-in center as well as on-campus housing for students recovering from a substance use disorder. Every dollar helps us to continue to provide a safe and welcoming environment where students in recovery can thrive academically and socially.
